Our platform is dedicated to supporting MBBS students in mastering surgery under the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) framework. It bridges traditional surgical training with modern competency-driven curricula to enhance understanding and performance.

The site focuses on the newly introduced CBME pattern in surgical education, It includes Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in surgical contexts, the One Minute Preceptor (OMP) model, and case-based scenarios for decision-making. We also emphasize preparation for the NExT PG exam with a surgery-specific focus.

The primary goal of CBME in General Surgery is to produce Indian Medical Graduates (IMGs) who possess not only essential surgical knowledge but also the necessary skills, attitudes, and values to effectively manage common surgical conditions as a first-contact physician, while also remaining globally relevant.

CBME places a strong emphasis on skill acquisition through methods like DOAP sessions (Demonstrate, Observe, Assist, Perform) and dedicated skill labs. It requires students to achieve a certain level of proficiency and often necessitates certification for independent performance of essential surgical skills, moving beyond theoretical knowledge.
